Who is responsible
KC Consulting Ltd is the controller of the details you send through this site. Kam Cheng runs the company.
What the form collects
The contact form asks what you’d like to discuss, your name, your email address, your company or organisation (optional) and your message.
To prevent abuse, the site holds your IP address in memory for up to one hour. The site itself never writes it to disk.
Why
The lawful basis is legitimate interests, namely replying to people who get in touch about projects, roles or anything else. Using the form is voluntary, and no decisions about you are made automatically.
Where it goes
Messages are saved in Google Cloud Storage in London. The site is hosted by Google (Google Cloud EMEA Limited, Ireland), which keeps server logs for 30 days, and keeps visitors’ IP addresses for a few months to detect abuse. Google may process these logs outside the UK, including in the USA, under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
When email delivery is switched on, messages are also sent to Kam through Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA), which processes them on his behalf, and kept in his email account. Transfers to Resend in the USA are protected by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which Resend has signed up to, and by the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses in Resend’s data processing agreement. Resend deletes its copy after 30 days.
How long
Messages are deleted 12 months after they arrive. If a message leads to a role or a contract, it is kept with those records for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, and ask for it to be corrected, deleted or restricted. You can also object to its use, and complain.
To do any of these, use the contact form (choose “Something else”) or write to the registered office. Complaints are acknowledged within 30 days.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and uses no analytics. Fonts are served from this site, so your browser makes no third-party requests.
